Our clients value health and wellness and desired a space to maintain both. Designed was a two-story wellness addition to elevate their fitness and well-being. On first floor is an exercise equipment room and a luxurious steam spa with a vanity holding a marble vessel sink. We used a diamond grind to expose the aggregate in the concrete for the array of our client’s exercise equipment. Cove lighting on both floors were concealed in out-of-sight boxes that offer indirect lighting to create an ambiance of a Zen spa. A floating staircase with vertical poles that flow from the 1st floor to the 2nd creating an illusion of the stairs being suspended in air and LED lights concealed under each tread. The 2nd floor is wrapped in wood slats that seamlessly clad every wall and ceiling without seeing where one ends and another begins. A red-bed light therapy room is tucked behind hidden twin doors.
