Bringing a 1970's modern condo into the 21st century! Keeping the modern influence of the space with the focus on the view while creating a warm space during the wet winters. The homeowner is wheelchair bound, so accessiblity and movability throughout the space, inside and out, was a priority! Doors needed to be widen to roll into the bedroom and her "walk-in" closet. The master bathroom has a roll in shower room sharing the space with the toilet. The master bath sink is handicap accessible as well. The master bedroom has a space for the wheelchair to park and recharge when not in use. A full length mirror with lighting, allows the home owner to check herself when the space isn't being used to house the wheelchair. Ease of accessing the patio with the nanawall opened up her world. Since this is a condo, maximizing the space for flexible storage was a priority. Multipurpose space was created within the dining area. The ability to use the diningroom as their home office with proper storage for their home based business, while taking in an awesome view was a must! A murphy bed is also placed in the dining area for guest sleeping!
