The homeowners are a young couple who moved here from New York. They were in the process of purchasing their home when they interviewed Dennis Duffy. They were looking for a modern aesthetic and their goal was to gut/rehab the kitchen and breakfast area that was original to the 1980’s house. Secondarily, they wanted to modernize the adjacent family room.

The project became a little larger when Duffy and the homeowners decided to capture the space behind the kitchen that was a potting/garden room and elevate it to the same height as the kitchen, along with modifying the ceiling and windows. The powder room and mud/entry were also added in.
In a second phase, the entry, living, dining and master bedroom were furnished and finished.
