This closet presented some unique challenges that required some creative solutions. The space is very narrow so it was going to be difficult to have hanging within the circulation space connecting one end of the closet to the other. The client has a fabulous array of shoes, so we used the long walls to show off the collection. Because of the narrowness of the space we used glass inserts and glass shelves with lighting to accentuate the shoes and to make the space look less closed in. We also wanted to create some additional interest so we added ¾” turquoise backing. The client wanted as much of the clothes hidden so we created drawers and cabinet space and encased the hanging behind cabinets on either end of the closet. We also added acrylic drawer dividers, jewelry drawers, valet rods, belt racks, and hampers.
