For this project, we went all-in on creating a transitional design that’s equal parts classic and modern, basically, the best of both worlds! We started with shaker-style cabinets that have that perfect mix of clean lines and timeless appeal, giving the space a fresh but cozy vibe that feels effortlessly chic.

The real showstopper? A custom double-slope arched vent hood cover that’s not only functional but seriously gorgeous! It adds this beautiful, sculptural moment to the kitchen that makes you want to stop and admire it every time you walk in. And, of course, we couldn’t resist extending that soft, elegant look throughout, so we designed arched doorways to mirror the curves, giving the entire space a sense of flow and sophistication. It’s like the perfect little architectural detail that ties everything together.

One of the must-have features for this project was a huge kitchen island, both for its impressive size and its role in the overall design. The island is more than just a beautiful centerpiece; it’s the heart of the space, where everything from casual breakfasts to lively dinner parties happens. We designed it to reflect the idea that the kitchen is a place for connecting and sharing, a concept that was so important to this lovely family (or couple). The island anchors the room, providing plenty of space for gathering, cooking, and making memories.

For the colors, we kept them neutral and warm. Think soft, inviting tones that make the whole space feel light, airy, and very relaxing. But don’t be fooled; we’ve layered in lots of textures and materials to keep things interesting. For the countertops, we chose quartz, not just for its durability (because, let’s be real, kitchens get busy) but because it has that sleek, polished finish that adds just a touch of glam.

And let’s talk about that backsplash, it’s Calacatta Gold, with those dreamy veining details that bring in just the right touch of luxury. It’s subtle but adds so much texture and depth to the room. We love how it complements the neutral palette while still making a statement.

Finally, the gorgeous finishing touch came from our amazing friends at Visual Comfort, the Signature Piatto pendant lights, which we selected for above the island. These lights add the perfect balance of elegance and warmth, tying the space together with a sophisticated glow.
