Oooo-La-La! What a difference a remodel can make! Used in this remodel was Bishop Cabinets in the Utica Door Style painted in Brilliant White, Celestial Shift Granite, and Samsung Appliances.

BEFORE... the wall to the living room really blocked the flow of the two rooms especially while entertaining.

AFTER... Opened the wall! We rebuilt the stairs, and ran a beam to carry the load.

BEFORE... it may have been a "work triangle" but there was no room to prep anything, and no one wanted to sit at the peninsula because of the heat from the cooking.

AFTER... Now there is a HUGE work space on the island, and we moved the cooking to against the wall so that it will now have proper ventilation.

BEFORE.... Not too many people use a lowered desk in the kitchen anymore, so we were asked to remove it and replace it with more storage.

AFTER.... we were able to take the old desk area and make it a coffee/wine bar area with much more usable storage below.

BEFORE.... the client liked having glass cabinets here, but the area was so dark!

AFTER... We kept all the storage but lighting up the area really brightened the kitchen.

The new cooking area has great ventilation and plenty of pot and pan storage. The detailed backsplash and decorative wood hood also turned this area into a beautiful focal point of the room.

Tucking away the refrigerator and oven/microwave into the corner keeps the room feeling large yet kept the frequently used appliances close to all the action.

BEFORE... Looking at the kitchen from living room side didn't give you much of a view. The stairs were also not much of a focal point.

AFTER.... Now there is a beautiful view of the kitchen and the new staircase is a design element that was overlooked before.
