The goal of this project was to extend the living space to the outdoors and blend the landscape with the forest edge of the abutting conservation land, without using any lawn. The reconfigured porch, raised bluestone patio, and fireplace create a series of outdoor rooms that are a natural extension of house. The irregular bluestone path, koi pond, and shade garden create the transition area between the outdoor rooms and the forest edge.
