My brother is a home brewer and in support of his hobby I helped him retrofit a used chest freezer to support four pony kegs and co2. He did the plumbing, I did the woodwork. The taps are from our family homestead in Connecticut. The Redwood is reclaimed.

Reclaimed doug fir endgrain, with architectural detail.

The installer of this reclaimed doug fir countertop didn't seal the end grain, and over a couple years, it began to rot out at the faucet borings. I cut away rotted area, sealed with epoxy and replaced with mahogany, a more rot resistant wood to add contrast and a functional design feature.
