Foundation Communities is an Austin homegrown non-profit. They provide affordable, attractive homes and free on-site support services for thousands of families with kids, as well as veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. FC offers an innovative, proven model that empowers their residents and neighbors to achieve educational success, financial stability, and healthier lifestyles. They own and operate 18 communities all over Austin and in North Texas.
The International Association of Home Staging Professionals Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Barb Schwarz, the Creator of Home Staging. The IAHSP® Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to serving those in need in our communities throughout the United States and Canada through the gift and magic of Home Staging. Our goal is to enrich the lives of those in need around us, whether they are individuals, organizations or institutions.
The Austin Regional Chapter of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP®) chose Foundation Communities as the beneficiary of their 2014 Worldwide Staging Service® Project. After several members of the Chapter previewed the property and met with the staff at Foundation Communities, they chose the resident’s common kitchen at the Garden Terrace property to transform. With the gracious monetary and service donations the Chapter received, they were able to provide new paint, new kitchen countertops, new dining table tops, new dining chairs, new microwave, new convection oven, new portable island, new artwork and miscellaneous accessories to transform a once “well-loved” space into a fresh new kitchen and dining area for their residents to use and enjoy. The space will also be used by the volunteers when they are prepping meals for the monthly “supper club” dinners provided to the residents. In addition to the items listed above, the Austin IAHSP® Chapter was also able to donate two dozen padded folding chairs that were desperately needed for additional seating at the “supper club” dinners.
