A lovely couple purchased this ground level rancher and sought out our help to transform it from antiquated to updated - ultimately a space that would better reflect their fun and energetic personalities.

As they decided to downsize preparing for retirement - there was a fundamental need to maximize every possibility of optimizing storage space. The spare bedroom would flex as the grandkid's play room with a built in Murphy bed, the Master bedroom would get a Built-in TV Wall with an abundance of hidden shelving and the kitchen millwork includes an appliance garage to help hide the daily of small appliances. Which was the clients favourite? The built-in Kitchen Aid Mixer with a built-in lift of course!

The interior colour palette we selected was a combination of on-tone soft whites, warm silvers with pops of colour with inspiration drawn from their lovely ornamental tree that lives out their front picture window. We mixed in black stainless, polished chrome, brushed nickel, pearlescent charcoal and smoked glass, these created a lovely grounded feeling in contrast to the kitchen ceiling. The ceiling was done with high-gloss stretched ceiling panel and anchored by blown glass pendants.

This home truly went from dark and dated to airy and updated.
