Onsen is an integral part of the Japanese culture, which is not only one of the tourist attractions, but also an integral part of the everyday life of Japanese people. There are at least twenty thousand thermal baths in the country which are rich in minerals. In Japan, bathers sit in the hot pools and relax, admire the view or just talk to each other. We also tried to create this atmosphere in a small settlement near Budapest, Solymár. The garden is built on a steep hillside with a breathtaking panorama, and if we admire this from a pool, perhaps we can better understand why the Japanese are so passionate about onsen culture. Leaving the building, we reach the relaxation terrace, from where we can simply take a dip into the water of the pool. The lower garden can be reached by a staircase next to the pool. There we can find a garden grill and a lounge area. We also placed great emphasis on the Japanese atmosphere during the plant selection.
