Zilker Kitchen

This remodel project transformed the interior of a Zilker-area bungalow into a colorful open living/kitchen/dining area. A new media room was created where the cramped kitchen formerly resided; a central living room became the new kitchen and heart of the house. Some space was borrowed from a guest bedroom to create a new hallway with "family lockers" and access directly from the driveway. Cabinetry and contracting by Texas Trim.

The middle room of the house was serving as a living room, but it was really more of a circulation area. We decided it was a perfect spot for the new kitchen, the "heart of the house."

The original kitchen was small and cluttered-- we designed a new kitchen at the center of the house, and replaced this kitchen with a new media room.
