I tried this color (Egg Yolk) and it is not as bright as it looks in this picture. It is more pale pastel yellow (2 coats). Maybe if I try another coat, I'll get it this shade.

Regarding Paint Color Requests: Due to the mix of natural and artificial lighting, digital photography processing, and your monitor's color settings, what you see on a computer screen will most likely be different than what the paint will look like in real life. We always suggest getting samples or chips and trying them in/on your own home before choosing a paint color.

Hello! Can you provide any specs on the stair lights? We are finishing up a screened porch/deck combo and are having the hardest time finding the right lights! These are nice and simple and small! Oh, and bronze!

thank you. I should have said I am in Vermont. But my builder is very energy conscious (as we should all be) and I'd like to be able to have a lovely wooden door that is energy efficient. What do people think?

What Houzz contributors are saying:
Jennifer Ott Design added this to Front and Center Color: When to Paint Your Door Yellow
4. Yellow Door With a White ExteriorYellow doors aren't just for contemporary homes. A soft white color on the exterior of your house means you have your pick of the rainbow for the front door color, no matter what architectural style your home may be. I'd suggest a bold hue, so it really stands out against the white. Bright yellow with subtle charcoal-gray accents has lots of impact against the soft, light color of this house.
Samantha Schoech added this to 15 Front Doors With Personality
Colorful DoorsI am a big fan of bright, bold front doors. I don't care what the color is (although this sunshine yellow sure is cheerful), as long as it goes zing! When to paint your door yellow
Vanessa Brunner added this to How to Choose a Front Door Color
Yellow. Welcome visitors with a cheerful yellow front door. Often identified with happiness, high energy and warmth, a lively yellow can brighten otherwise gloomy exteriors.Guide: When to Paint Your Door Yellow
Julia Pockett added this to Tricky Yellow — Friend or Foe?
Yellow is the easiest color to see from a distance — that's why taxis are usually yellow, and the yellow flag in car races signals caution. Historically, women across many cultures used to tie a yellow ribbon in their hair or around a tree to welcome their men home from war.Make your home welcoming with a yellow front door. There's no way your visitors will accidentally drive past your house!
Eco+Historical, Inc. added this to How to Update a Traditional Exterior With Color
A bright entry door color can be a signal that a traditional home has a bit more personality than you might suspect from its simple form and body color. Try a bright orange or canary yellow.
Mitchell Parker added this to Houzz Quiz: What Color Should Your Front Door Be?
Your front door color should be …Yellow: You’re contemplative and peaceful. You like to make statements, but in a guided, subtle way rather than being in-your-face. You’re intelligent, but you never brag. And no matter what happens, you’re always able to see the bright side of things. Your door should be yellow.
