Sorry, I don't know the color on the walls. Your best option would be to take the photo to a paint shop and ask them to match it. Of course, it all depends on the light in the room when we took this shot. Good luck, and thanks for your interest.

Yes, seems tough to find. Becoming obsessed with this photo! Thanks for the answers. On the counter, what's the difference between honed and satin?

Not sure what you mean by satin. Stone comes in honed or polished, honed meaning a dull matte finish. There is also finishes like leather or flamed, that give a textured surface; I personally don’t see the point. A kitchen like this one should have honed granite, gives it an older, more country feel.

The cabinet maker is Craft-Maid Cabinets of Reading PA. They are a very high end custom line, do exquisite work. The cabinets are beaded inset, slab drawer and Carnegie (bead) door with a flat panel. This is natural cherry, but you can see how select the cherry wood is.

It was just a dark grout, I don't know the make or color. That would be something the tile installer can work with you on.

If you look to the left of the towel bar unit, I believe that the base door next to it is the double waste unit. I like to keep the dishwasher and waste unit on either side of the sink, so that the clean up person can work right and left, scraping and washing. Pretty sure that's it. Thanks for your interest, this is a lovely kitchen.

A farm sink should be undermounted, as shown here. The overhang would be about 1/8", meaning the countertop extends 1/8" beyond the sink. The back corners won't be perfect, as it can be hard to follow the curve of the sink exactly. But you aim for 1/8". Good luck!

They are 3 x 6, which is pretty much what is means by "subway tile". Perhaps they look larger because of the grout.

The hardware came from Schaub, it was a pewter or brushed silver tone with an edge of copper, like a rub through. I don't believe this finish is still offered in their line.

It's just an open base cabinet with a decorative valance top rail. The pull out towel bar can be found in various catalogs of kitchen accessories. Since towels don't need the full 27" height of the opening, we installed a shelf and the client used it to store a basket with onions.

It is Vermont Soapstone, which is different from Italian or Brazilian soapstone. Vermont has a slight greenish cast, with white veining. When you oil it, which you must, it turns almost black.

You can find this hardware from Schaub -- this is a brushed nickel finish with a slight copper highlight that works so well with this old look.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Laura Gaskill added this to What Goes With Wood Cabinets?
Soapstone counters and buttery walls. A classic farmhouse sink, a subway tile backsplash and butter-yellow walls are charming with cherry cabinets. Vermont soapstone counters offer contrast to keep the look crisp. Keep in mind that walls in the yellow range can make lighter oak cabinets look washed out — the lighter butter yellow works here because the cabinets are a richer hue.
Becky Harris added this to 10 Top Backsplashes to Pair With Soapstone Countertops
You can switch up the subway tile look in many ways to suit your home’s style. Handmade tiles and those with crackled glazes lend an aged look, while crisp white porcelain can give a more modern one. Beveled tiles add extra dimension and shadows. Size and proportion (such as mini or elongated) are other ways to give subway tile a twist. Finally, you can play with grout color and match it up to a gray tone found in your soapstone if you wish.In this kitchen, handmade subway tiles have a biscuit tone and a beautiful glaze that give them an aged look. Putty gray grout complements the tiles and countertops.
