I absolutely love these light fixtures as well as the ones hung from the two story ceiling above the kitchen island in the additional photos of this space. Where, oh where, can a gal purchase these beauties?

We designed the island and it was built by a local cabinet company. The dimensions are 36" x 84".

I've found this question WAY later than I should have. Sorry for failing to answer... Eloise Pritchard at Sandy Springs Galleries in Atlanta, GA makes them custom.

The cabinets are B. Moore Georgian Green (HC-115) (thinned by homeowner) and the counter tops are Calcutta Gold marble with a honed finish. Caution: these photographs DO NOT represent the actual color. Always get samples before making a final decision.

The two that we have on Houzz are the ones that are on our site. The June, 2011 issue of Southern Living may have more. You might be able to find them on their web site.

We used oak on the fridge (to look like an old ice-box) and heart pine on the countertop (to match the floors).

It's a sub-zero 700 series in an oak cabinet. The hardware is from Van Dyke's. It's "custom" but not complex.

They are custom made by a local craftsman. Carolyn Hultman is the interior designer, maybe she can help with the source.

I found that the color you see (a digital photo viewed on your monitor) is NOT the color that you think it is! If you like the color you see, you'll do much better by comparing what you see there with a paint color fan.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Lisa Frederick added this to 8 Elements of a Cottage Kitchen
3. Beadboard. Nothing says cottage kitchen more clearly than beadboard. This grooved style of paneling warms walls and cabinetry and adds architectural interest with a minimum of fuss. Because it has so much visual impact, you don't need much to create a cottage effect. Go the classic route and paint it a creamy color, choose the same hue as your cabinetry or sand it slightly for an aged, distressed look.
Michelle Fries added this to 10 Ways to Get the Modern Rustic Farmhouse Look
See every detail as an opportunity. Use glass uppers to display your white tableware and add a refrigerator panel that has the appearance of an old icebox. A farm sink will pull it all together.
