Sorry for the bleated response as it your email was missed.
The shelving is all custom built in 3/4" thick with a 1 1/2" nosing. The base aligned with the floor base to tie it in, and the middle shelf section was removed creating a small window into the rest of the house letting people know who has arrived and who home.
