Urbana Kitchens ~ Ellen Crystal ~ Designer

this is a silica, quartz concrete type material. essentially you have to treat it like a brick or concrete wall. Sealer as suggested earlier may shift the colour and if you plan on using it, will need to be cleaned properly first. A good scrub, using a brush with something like TSP will likely be your most effect cleaner now & from time to time as required. if you use TSP put old towels along counter to capture excess moisture. Let dry thoroughly before application of any sealer. Prior to using any chemicals check with Boral Best Block to determine if there is any reason this versatile cleaner wouldn't be suitable. it is used by painters to prepare surfaces for generations! Week to week, vacuum thoroughly.

Allison Redepenning Interiors

The trick to great stainless countertops is to use "multi-directional" stainless. That's where the fabricator actually uses a circular machine to etch the surface with lines. So, the finishes doesn't look like your fridge but it doesn't spot like your fridge either. Yes, it does scratch but the scratches are much less noticeable than basic stainless and it wears beautifully. It's more expensive but well worth it.

@susanhackernj It is a case by case situation depending on the range, tile, design, etc. For most instances, the hood is already set in place and tile is applied/installed after.

Thank you for your compliments and interest in this kitchen space. Unfortunately the window shades were selected by the homeowner and interior designer and we do not have record of their selections. As for the paint color, I am guessing you are referring to the cabinet color. The selections show this color is Heirloom Sage they are custom cabinets done by King Street Kitchens and they will be able to best answer your inquiry.

This is a great kitchen and the brick backsplash is a great touch to the room! With the Boral Thin Brick you have the option to seal the brick, but it is not necessary - the brick can be cleaned with soap/detergent. If you decide to use this product make sure to check with a Boral Sales Rep with all of your questions prior to starting. Hope this helps and glad you enjoy it as much as us!
