I am not really sure how it will work to wash the bricks with semi transparent stain.

It is always a good idea to try it out on a sample or consult with a local painting contractor.

No, it's not actually using a semi-transparent stain, the technique just (I think) mimics the look of a semi-transparent stain over cedar. I would definitely get a professional, especially because the technique of lime washing is so complicated. All of the examples I've seen on brick are much lighter, like a white washing. But I think the warm gray would be really beautiful. It wouldn't look as flat and one dimensional as painting the brick would. Then I could have the shed dormer vinyl replaced with cedar shingles with the coastal gray (or similar). Very exciting we move in less than five weeks. Let the renos begin!

Sarabue- I'm taking a guess...in the right it looks like roses, in the left MAYBE morning glory or trumpet vine. Good luck!

The gate and fence was built by the general contractor, RGN Construction.

The home owner selected the paint color for the exterior of this house as well as the interiors. She did a great job !
