Stair update Traditional Staircase, Burlington

While the basic elements of the original stairs remain the same the addition of a window and built-in bookcase as well as a new paint job give these stairs a nice makeover.

The finish on the treads are an alkyd satin. The paint on the walls is from the Donald Kaufman Collection by Pratt & Lambert.

Hello,
The paint on these walls are from the Donald Kaufman Color collection (by Pratt & Lambert). The color is DKC-27, Latex Eggshell. The trim is DK-5, Alkyd Satin.
Hope that helps!

Our paint schedule says that this is DKC-64 from the Donald Kaufman Collection in a Latex Eggshell finish. You might want to order chips since some colors were changed in the field. Good luck!

Railing questions - I love this railing. Can you tell me the company that carries the newel? Also, are the balusters 1" or 1 1/4"?

Sorry, this part of the house was a renovation and we didn't have anything to do with newels or baluster other than painting. The balusters are 1 inch square rotated 45 degrees.

Hello,
The stair treads and landing are painted. I believe that is Benjamin Moore's 1565 Mount Saint Anne.
Hope that helps!

Even the bottom of a staircase can be more functional when shelving is installed. Cookbooks, along with baskets for holding crafts and supplies, can be stored here for easy access.

This house is a cape (not what we want), but it has a cottage feel to it throughout. Like the wall color and floor color, built ins, wide trim.
