Hi Sarah,
I love your adorable cottages and see that they are rentals in Bend. I live in Portland and love visiting Bend. How would I go about renting one of these? Are they on VRBO or some other site?
Thanks,
Esther

Hi Nichole, It is also from Threshold for Target. I guess when I find something inexpensive that I like I go with that. :)

What Houzz contributors are saying:
Vanessa Brunner added this to Kitchen of the Week: A Cottage-Chic Kitchen on a Budget
Phipps saved money by sticking to the kitchen's basic design; the cabinetry, hardware and sink are original. She did splurge on Hygge & West wallpaper and a Smeg refrigerator to match the minty green upper cabinets. Sturdy 12-by-12 vinyl square tiles — a steal at under $65 — replaced the original, worn linoleum. All in all, Phipps spent a little over $1,700 in supplies, materials and furnishings for the kitchen (with the exception of the refrigerator); labor for the installation and plumbing and electrical updates took up the rest of her budget. Rugs: Target; flooring: Polar White Speckle Vinyl, Armstrong; cabinet color: Bath Salts, Benjamin Moore; wallpaper: Daydream, Hygge & West
Laura Gaskill added this to 13 Ways to Keep the Peace With Roommates
Decide how to handle groceries and stick with it. A roomie who eats your food without asking is right up there with the one who leaves the dirty dishes piled up in the sink. Let's hope you never have to live with someone who does both. The best way to avoid conflict around food is to agree early on how you will handle groceries, and stick to it. Here are three common ways to handle the food situation, along with pros and cons:Share everything. For some, sharing food and splitting costs evenly works out without a hassle. Conflicts can arise if one of you has friends over a lot and feeds said friends from the (supposedly) equally shared food stash. If you go this route, be clear that the food is for roommates only.Separate sides of the fridge. Shop separately, and keep your paws off your roommate's food. This can be a smart choice if you tend to buy very different kinds of food (i.e., one roommate is vegan, another loves meat).Share staples, split the rest. This compromise sounds good, but can be a little tricky in practice. Be sure you agree on what exactly is on your list of staples, and trade off paying for them.
