I would keep the hardware finish the same on both personally. But I'm not afraid of mixing bronze knobs with nickel light fixtures or vice versa. Good luck.

An interior designer would be able to draw an elevation for you and determine the size that is best for your space taking into account the ceiling height and size of the island. Thank you.

The contractors made the inner workings for us, and then the cabinetmaker built the hood in the shape I designed, and Kelly Walker faux finished it. Thank you!
