I think that is some vintage lamp that was given a facelift. I want to say it used to be brass, but I'm not sure if that's true or if I have just seen Brian do that kind of thing a lot!

An wall-size vintage photo of his parents, a large "F" (recognize it? It's from a T.G.I. Friday's) and a grand light fixture all fit the scale of the great room to a T.
