Try it yourself! I've never done tile in my life and when I started remodeling my kitchen I wanted a unique backsplash. I bought the mosaic supplies from Etsy and it turns out I love it. These are my first and only pieces I have done, but let your creative juices flow, I know you can do it!

What Houzz contributors are saying:
Jennifer Ott Design added this to Cooking With Color: When to Use Red in the Kitchen
What a colorful and fun kitchen this is! It's modern yet warm and inviting. By grounding the red with warm wood tones and contrasting it with a soothing green hue, the designer made this kitchen peppy without its becoming too much.
Becky Dietrich, Interior Designer added this to The Palette’s Power Suit: Energize With Red
Have you noticed, by the way, the seemingly endless array of red hues in these featured rooms? From tomato, persimmon and fire engine to cranberry, rose and ruby, the faces of red are legion. And note that they all go with green — without suggesting Christmas.Cabinet paint: Cerise, Sherwin-Williams
