I had similar planters custom made out of aluminum and powdercoated. I used allplanters.com

It's not a pool we built but from experience it looks like a porcelain paver - with a front facing piece on the pool edge to make a coping/cantilever edge detail. The only other option might be a poured concrete or pre-cast pads.
