If you need brackets, just found great ones at Van Dykes Restorers.

Hi! If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to know more about the counter... - The material, brand, and where to find it, if at all possible. Thank you!

How long are shelves and how what is the width? - Need shelve that is wide enough to hold large dinner plate. Do you have shelves that store plates vertically?

I too would like to know the width of the shelves. I want to put open shelves over my sink and don't know how wide I can go or how high they'd need to be?

Frances' philosophy on open shelving in her kitchen is simple. "I guess if I fed my family really crappy food, I might want to hide it behind cabinets," she says. "I like to see cookbooks, pretty dishes and things I have collected over the years. It adds warmth and meaning."Wall paint: Chelsea Grey, Benjamin Moore

1. ShelvesShelves are your best friend in any kitchen, especially one with limited counter and cabinet space. Every kitchen is different, but no matter how small, there is typically at least part of a wall that can accommodate even the smallest shelf. Since shelving comes in various lengths and depths, get creative and look to hang a shelf on your unused surfaces, as in the space above your stove, on the side of a cabinet wall or even above your window.
