1920's Colonial Garden

One of Avant Gardening & Landscaping's longest standing clients, you won't find much lawn to mow at this property! Almost every inch is planted with a wide array of flowering perennials (even the street terrace!) We helped create the "bones" of this landscape with the natural stone terraces and stepping stone paths, but most of the credit must be given to our client!

She is truly passionate about gardening and it shows! This past summer, her garden was featured in Olbrich Botanical Gardens Home & Garden Tour 2014, where over 900 other garden enthusiasts were able to stroll through the meandering paths and enjoy the wide variety of summertime blooms.

Olbrich's Description of the Garden:
"This 1920's colonial sits on one of the few remaining double lots in University Heights. Stone steps lead to the terraced yard filled with colorful beds of peonies, lilies, and numerous daylilies. In the shade of tall oaks, hostas, ferns, Solomon's seal, Jack-in-the-pulpit and trillium thrive."

Thank you to our client for letting us be a part of creating your historic masterpiece!
