5th Street Coastal Chic

These active young homeowners wanted to feel like they were at a beach house everyday. Los Angeles interior designer Alexandra Rae worked with a palette of cool blues, greens, and neutrals to evoke a sense of sun, sea and sky. Nantucket style wainscoting sets off the blue grasscloth with its painted white trellis pattern. A blend of modern, classic and coastal makes this a fun, family-friendly house for everyday living.

A large open concept kitchen and family room offers full views from end to end. The white kitchen (see previous photo), and its breakfast area, open the open concept family room. The entire space is surrounded by windows which flood the rooms with light.
