This newly constructed farmhouse sits on five beautiful acres. Although this young family was building their house from the ground up, they asked Los Angeles interior designer Alexandra Rae to help them design a home that looked anything but new. The entire house was designed to feel like it had been constructed over the course of many generations, then filled with antique furnishings, custom made light fixtures, hand painted tiles, and salvaged marble floors. The finished home exudes a relaxed but sophisticated warmth.
