Many of our clients collect fine art. Key to this project’s success, not unlike other solutions, was making their diverse collection of contemporary and traditional art fit seamlessly into their primary living and dining space. Also, with the reality of the entertainment center central to the room’s function, the custom media unit houses all electronics and wires, doubles as seating and was painted the same color as the wall for minimal contrast. Featured in the Boston Sunday Globe Magazine, “there’s no need for sterile white decor to show off artworks. [Designer] prefers a unified neutral color scheme, with a mix of subtle textures, patterns, and some offbeat accent tones to keep the room from looking contrived.”
