A Kitchen in Dreamy Pastels

The space? A sterile and gloomy urban condo that evokes of a bearded manly-man. It’s a departure from this lovely and sweet Mother-Daughter duo clients. The task? Make the space lively yet cozy, feminine but not scream Grandma; make it more vibrant and not dreary yet keeping a modern feel. The floors were changed from cold cement to warm hardwood floors, the cabinetry from tired dark-brown to refreshing china white & the backsplash from cookie-cutter to beautiful handmade terracota tiles.

The palette took cues from classic French macaroons --- hues of mint green pistachios, raspberry pinks, beige fleur de sels and navy {ok, maybe blueberry navy}. It was a collaboration made in sweet heaven to create a feminine & delightful kitchen!
