A log cabin that I built for myself

Custom build "Swedish Cope" "Log Home" home which I designed and has been featured in Log Home Living and Cabin Fever (a table top book). The Foyer has a 7' high tin ceiling which emphasizes the 30' high living room. The Maple floors, which is a non grainy wood to be in contrast to the logs have "radiant heating". The custom made kitchen cabinets are raped in" Galvanized metal" and have gotten better with age. The master bath has reclaimed wide plank floor and the antique Tub is of copper. The guest bath sink is made from a hand made salad bowl and the faucets are cheap out door ones. The wall behind the guest bed is made of rusted steel panels. and my Studio is a loft over looking the living room.

8' high windows and doors provides lots of light, Custom made steel and stone dining table.
Dining
The door and windows are 8' high with transoms above bringing in the light and being able to see the sky. The table is a custom made steel base with a Blue stone top. The chairs are old English Banking chairs

"Galvanize" wrapped kitchen cabinet doors. There is a hole for garbage in wood counter top" and also one for "recyclables" that goes to the basement. There are no over head cabinets to open the space. there is a floor to ceiling pantry.

The stove is a down draft so there is no hood. There is a pass through to the dining aria. The galvinized raped doors get better looking with age, and the handles are made of rubber

Antique "copper tub",There is a "steam shower" on right of tub. The paint job is a multiple layered process that looks like antique leather, The window treatment is just pulled back gauze. The floor is "reclaimed antique wide planked floor".

The end tables are cantilevered rough edged stone. The lights are controlled from both side of bed.

Jeans are hung on hooks and the black carpet have colored patches set in. The dresser is built in and large collection of picturs

I collect antique picture frames and are on shelves one in front of the other. My eye glass are on little shelves to the left and Jeans are hung on hooks

Loft studio
This is an alcove in my studio. The sofa opens as additional sleeping. There is a pull out shelf for key board and the file cabinets are antique stackable ones. In the corner is a hand carved Totem Pole.

The end tables are cantilevered rough edged stone. The lights are controlled from both side of bed.

There are 3 different "wall papers". the rug is an early Ax-minster. The dresser and bed are antique the handles o the dresser are carved wood that looks like straps. The hanging gas light just has a light bolb inserted for light I did not want to alter it.

in lower level hall is a console of Blue Stone with a Machine part mold as support. I used blue stone slabs as accent wall, and recessed shelve for collections

Glass inclosed shower with slate tile, Stone and steel sculpture on ledge. The frosts ar out door ones

"Faucets "are cheap outdoor knobs, "Sink" is made out of a hand made salad bowl. Pored concrete "vanity", stone work very rustic, 2 hand made swiveling mirrors completes the vanity.

The retaining wall is made of steel I beams with cement board between them and back filled with very heavy duty spray fome.
