A Modern Approach

The homeowners, eager to tackle their gut renovation, demolished their entire living room themselves down to the studs. And then they froze. They weren’t sure what to do next, but they knew it needed to be a drastic change from the abandoned in ceiling radiant heating system, dated décor, and gloomy interior. Luckily, fate intervened and as soon as the design team saw the space we could visualize the end product.

We removed the structural “core” of the house, replacing it with beefed up exterior shear walls and new interior beams that would grant expansive views of the Puget Sound as soon as you opened the front door.

The house was transformed from a dark, chopped up mid century rambler into a fresh & modern, bright open kitchen and living space worthy of a busy family’s lifestyle.
