I often play with ideas that sometimes just stay ideas - but sometimes they become full-fledged houses. This is one of those latter ideas. Designed for either a childless or single child Family (or perhaps an empty nester couple), this open plan home is small enough to maintain easily yet lives larger. This home offers a separate, versatile space with bath that could be used as a home office for the professional, a fitness space, an artists' space, a guest space. Like many midcentury homes, it incorporates a carport instead of a garage, though one could easily enclose it. The fence panels (laser-cut metal) shown in front and around Master BR outdoor Zen Pool aid in privacy with an artistic flair. Originally conceived for a large rural lot, it could fit on many suburban lots as well. I havent modeled the interior as yet, but kitchen is located at front of house, open to the 1 1/2 story high Great Rm with a Bedroom between that and the Master Suite, complete with outdoor Zen garden w shallow pool.
