A Storied Past - Manley Residence

The minute Ann saw the entry floor of this '50's rambler in the Nichols Hills neighborhood of Oklahoma City, she knew it was her home. Exotic animal prints and gifts she and her husband, Scott, acquired from around the world mingle in contrast to Ann's inherited treasures from her Texas family farm.

The entry floor sold the house. Ann's coveted zebra patterned linoleum entry floor is original to the house. Absolutely nothing else stayed the same, and not one thing remains here if it doesn't have a good story to tell.

The most prominent furniture piece in Ann's living room includes two sections from a tree once struck by lightening. Her walls are adorned with Scott's masterful photography. Authentic Navajo rugs are supported by the delicately patterned wool carpet.

Ann's armoire hides a small TV in her living room and was constructed by harvesting barn wood from her family farm in Texas. Ancestors carefully crafted the silk piece quilt above. An old mink cage serves as a side table by the gray flannel upholstered sofa.

Authentic flow blue china flanks the woman under a red umbrella in the dining room, a gift to Ann and Scott for their many acts of kindness. The dining table is often host to girls and boys of all ages learning fine table manners from Ann.
