Step inside this lovely Mississauga townhouse and marvel at its fresh new interior. The structure is about 2400 square feet in size, including the basement. Built in the 1970s, the main floor was originally carved into four small rooms which was common in that era. Our carpenters installed two metal beams and four support columns to replace the load bearing walls that were removed. The kitchen was remodeled with custom cabinets around a large island. HVAC ducts were altered to accommodate the new floor plan and the heating and cooling system was redesigned to be more intelligently controlled with a Nest thermostat. Engineered hardwood floors were laid down in place of the original parquet floors and these boards were screwed down to eliminate a persistent squeak. Eastview Homes replaced all the existing interior finishes. We refurbished the window casing, doors, baseboards, and flooring. Whenever possible, we selected our designers’ preferences and preferred finishes, including 3 ½” casing, 2 panel square top doors, 7” baseboards and matching base shoe. The crown moulding was applied and custom carpentry installed by our experienced finish carpenters, on time and under budget.
