Alameda Update
This project was a gut renovation of an existing kitchen and dining room.
The remodel involved removing a wall between the existing kitchen and dining room to create an open cooking and eating area. An island with a waterfall counter and seating area separates yet connects the two spaces.
Numerous small closets were removed to expand the kitchen and create a sense of clarity in the plan. A back bedroom was opened up to create a den that is cozy and private yet still connected to the family spaces.
The contemporary flavor of the space is balanced by hand-crafted ceramic tile at the backsplash, tying the new kitchen into the traditional style of the existing house.
Finishes include: rift white oak cabinetry, quartz counters, Clayhaus ceramic tile, oak hardwood flooring, and brushed nickel accessories.
