Designer Luiza Silva shared with us a few notes from her gorgeous kitchen design.
"The client already had a pre-designed concept for this kitchen, as we had completed a previous project for them last year.

Building on that existing model, we tailored this design to meet the specific dimensions and functional needs of the space.

In the corner near the sink, we chose to use 9" base cabinets with an internal accessory instead of a traditional lazy Susan.

This allowed us to make the most of the layout while maintaining proportional balance throughout the cabinetry.

The island was designed with seating for 3-4, featuring decorative columns and side panels (deco panels) to elevate the overall aesthetic.

Given Charlestown, MA’s more traditional design sensibility, we focused on adding refined details and elegant finishes to reflect the local style.

Both the crown molding and the decorative hood were custom-made on site.
The crown molding was painted to match the cabinet color (Opal), ensuring a seamless look.

For the decorative hood, we sourced the material from Wellborn Forest so the carpenter could build it on site, maintaining consistency with the rest of the kitchen design."
