The homeowner wished to have clean lines with a bold contemporary statement, yet the room still needed to meld with the rest of the sophisticated & traditional style home. The cabinets and tile work with a contrasting black and white theme along with the ultra-thick countertops and gold hardware make the sought-after bold statement. We built window seats with storage drawers bringing fabric into the mix to add color. We decided to keep a very sculptural tub with satin gold feet. Other features include a continuous vanity with lots of storage for linen, separate his & hers tall cabinets, built-in hamper, etc. We also created a separate toilet room with ample storage. To complete the bold statement of the space, the shower was given a lot of prominence and it is truly a performance shower – complete with body sprays, hand shower and wall mounted rain head. Large porcelain slabs were used to clad the shower walls alleviating any tile seams. There is a full-width seat and a niche for storage of products.
