America's First 3D Printed House
An exciting interior design project that we did for America’s first 3D printed house! This home is part of a larger project by New Story Charity and ICON, with the intention of printing homes for a whole community in El Salvador. Because of this, our team wanted to design the interior to reflect the bright, vibrant, and rustic tones of El Salvador. We used lots reds, oranges, and bold patterns, all while maintaining a minimalist feel. We also wanted to make sure we stayed true to El Salvador’s surroundings, using many natural resources and ample greenery. I am absolutely thrilled with the way the space turned out.
Project designed by Sara Barney’s Austin interior design studio BANDD DESIGN. They serve the entire Austin area and its surrounding towns, with an emphasis on Round Rock, Lake Travis, West Lake Hills, and Tarrytown.
