Dory Azar Architect was hired to redesign the home of a young professional couple who were looking to expand their existing space. The addition involves the demolition of a portion of the existing home, and addition of a two story portion to meet the specific requirements of their energetic family. One of the main objectives was to capture the views of the water and Boblo Island across the road. Large windows and a second storey balcony from the master bedroom were positioned to achieve this. Reclaimed barn wood is intended to be used throughout the home as trim work and cladding feature walls.
