The souvenirs of a life in construction were the puzzle pieces of this project. The courtyard was to be their home, a neglected part of the owners' office building, overlooked by conference room windows from one side. Our solution was to make a fountain of some pieces,and use others to contain sculptural plants--or softening ones. Our aim was to seamlessly balance indoors with outdoors. It must have worked. Now this is where everyone in the building comes for lunch.
