Apartment at Kollwitzplatz - Berlin

Located in the popular Prenzlauer Berg district, this light-filled apartment is home to a family with two children. The generous new floor plan was created by combining two owner-occupied apartments into one.
The connecting element between the two former apartments is the kitchen, featuring two large openings and a cement tile floor. The view from the living room through the kitchen to the dining room is reminiscent of Goethe’s birthplace in Weimar, where one moves from room to room through different worlds of color. The colorful wall design highlights the many white-painted double doors and the historic stucco details.
The furnishings are composed of a variety of pieces, carefully selected from numerous flea markets in Berlin and southern France.
