An urban retreat in the heart of Neukölln: this hotel lobby was conceived as a place of arrival, pause, and quiet discovery. A space that welcomes both travelers and locals alike, blurring the line between hotel, living room, and social hub.
From the very first step inside, a warm, layered atmosphere unfolds. Rich textures, deep colors, and tactile materials create a sense of intimacy, while generous proportions and clear sightlines maintain an open, contemporary feel. Lush greenery, floral patterns, and softly glowing light fixtures introduce a subtle botanical narrative.

The lobby is structured as a sequence of zones: communal tables encourage exchange, bar seating invites lingering conversations, and secluded lounge areas offer moments of retreat. Carefully selected furniture pieces balance comfort with character, while bespoke details and artisanal finishes lend the space a distinctive identity.

For CARLO Design, this project was about creating more than a reception area. The lobby becomes the soul of the hotel. A place where arrival turns into belonging, where time slows down, and where the vibrant energy of Neukölln is translated into a refined, welcoming interior experience.
