Artistic Backsplash, Fireplace and Bathroom Installations

Artist Susan Wagner brings a new concept in interior design, bridging the worlds of gallery fine arts and the useful things we use in daily life. She's adapted her personal art to functioning wall installations as a backsplash, fireplace or feature walls. Scaled to any location, each work is individually hand-crafted in her Santa Cruz, California studio.

Owners Tom and Barbara decided to cover over an existing red brick fireplace. Susan helped lay out a design with concrete tiles from the Zen Art Mosaics. Shipped to New York, Tom did the installation with help from Barbara. Tom built a cherry mantelpiece....an elegant finish to the project.
