Arts & Crafts House
The Arts & Crafts house is a renovation and addition to a 1950s house located in the traditional Cotswolds town of Chipping Campden. The design of the house was inspired by the arts & crafts heritage of the town. The original house, which was situated on a large corner plot, has been extended in three directions and unusually all of these extensions extend forward of the principal elevation.
There are several innovations in the project included triangular dormers which feature a unique casement hung at 45 degrees, a unique tile pavilion & ash cladding. Internally, all the new spaces are vaulted and features from the original house, such as the crittall windows, terracotta tile sills and cork flooring were retained and recreated.
