Design Storey were approached by this client to refurbish a barn on their property to create a contemporary space for parties as well as a new guest annex, gym and leisure complex.

The brief was to create a relaxing space for the clients to retreat from their busy London lives. The project incorporated exterior landscaping including a new outside pool, large external terrace and refurbishment of the lower ground floor into a gym.

A simple palette of natural materials was used including large format porcelain tiles, exposed cotswold stone and timber ceiling comprising of stripped beams and painted rafters. The atmosphere of the space is calm and contemplative, perfect to retreat from the city, yet cool enough have a great party.
