This 1953 Portland home, located near Lewis & Clark College, underwent a kitchen remodel that respects its mid-century modern roots while making better use of the existing space. We reimagined the layout to fill the room more effectively. We incorporated warm wood tones and fun green tile color to honor the home’s original character without being strictly period-correct. The result is a practical and inviting kitchen that blends vintage inspiration with contemporary living needs and provides ample storage for the two scientist homeowners.
