This Cape Cod inspired transitional custom home on the balboa Peninsula has street and harbor appeal. The lot is of a unique triangular shape with an abundance of street frontage that narrows with the lot to a minimal amount of Bay frontage. We wanted to take advantage of the entire street frontage by adding a rich articulation and detail into the exterior design complemented with the interior layout of the home. We also wanted to make the minimal bay frontage of the house stand out and with an ocular custom glazed window/door system off the Master Bedroom that frames the view of the harbor. In turn this also creates distinct character for the home that can be viewed from the harbor. Natural Cedar Shingle siding and shake roof along with elegant white trim and crown help accentuate the character of the home and allow for a timeless look that will gain more even more character as it ages.
