Challenge: The Client's Insurance Co! They will remain nameless and I can only hope that this was not their normal protocol. Initially they would approve funds for ONLY the damaged cabinets to be replaced. Question: How do you replace part of a kitchen? Answer: You don't! Come See Me 1st! When I met the clients I gave them some advice and homework. I then did some research on my own! Based on the info the clients gave me, I was able to find the builder of their home and the original cabinet makers. They were still in business but of course don't make that style of cabinet any longer. With a letter from them along with a quote for new cabinets and couple comparative quotes (the clients homework). The clients were in business.... They were able to provide the insurance company with valuable information that substantiated their claim. Along with that and a lot of persistence from the clients. They did it! New Kitchen Here We Come!
