Barton Remodel

Rich cherry cabinets with farm style sink and light granite counters where we expanded the kitchen into the sitting room so island, bar and window seat can be incorporated. An island to invite guests to keep the chef company was more important to these clients than a sitting room. Especially since it allows three stools for everyday dining.

Before
The original kitchen was medium sized with no room for the owner's much desired island. There was a hidden bar area in a closet around the corner. The sitting or breakfast room was adjacent to the kitchen.

The new kitchen combines the two rooms with a much more gracious wet bar and eat at island with downdraft cooktop while still allowing a slightly smaller sitting area. A window seat is added to the bay window area.
